Algae Free Guarantee
Zagers Pool & Spa and Bioguard are proud to offer pool customers the Algae-Free Guarantee. By following the steps outlined below, we will guarantee your pool to stay Algae-Free. If it doesn't, we'll cover the cost to get you pool back in shape*!
Pool Requirements:
- Opened and trouble-free with an initial chlorine residual, and appropriate water balance established. Water must be tested at Zagers Pool & Spa. Two water tests must be done within a 2 week period of starting the program
Customer Requirements
- Use one of BioGuard’s premium water care programs applied according to label directions.
- Guarantee only applies to chemicals purchased at Zagers Pool & Spa. Chemicals purchased elsewhere and used on the Algae-Free program will VOID the guarantee.
Application Directions:

Back Up® is to be applied with an initial dose of 32 oz per 25,000 gallons of algae free water. If a pool opens with algae, this initial dose must be applied after the problem is resolved. Add 1 oz per 5,000 gallons weekly. |
This is the KEY to Algae-Free!!
Optimizer Plus® must be applied to the pool and maintain a residual of at least 30-50 ppm.
Proper water balance as recommended by Alex® water analysis and a minimum sanitizer residual of 1-3 ppm at all times.
Water must be tested at Zagers Pool at least every 21 days, with all recommendations followed.
Water must be circulated a minimum of 12 hours / day with recommended circulation of 24 hrs / day.
All equipment must be functional and properly maintained. This includes initial filter cleaning with FC-5 or Kleen It, or media change before starting the program, followed up with monthly filter cleaning with FC-5 or Kleen It.
Pool must remain clean and free of debris either in the pool, skimmer baskets or surface of the pool.
*Liability is limited to the solution of one algae incident, and a curative treatment will consist of 1 qt of Banish per 20,000 gallons of water, and 6 bags of Burn Out Extreme per 20,000 gallons.
This guarantee is valid for the first 120 days after initializing the program.
